Product Description
Paul searched for two years to find the right producer to craft a preservative-and-additive-free of spreads and pestos bearing the A.G. Ferrari Foods name. His search ended in the vegetable gardens of a small producer in the herb-scented Ligurian hills above Genova.

This all-natural pesto from coastal Liguria is made with a blend of sun-dried tomatoes, olive oil, nuts and fresh herbs. Use as a topping for crostini, as a sauce for pasta, as a flavoring for fresh cheeses or as a poultry marinade.

Pesto Rosso is one of seven new sauces made in Liguria, exclusively for A.G. Ferrari Foods.

5 out of 5 stars Great for Crostini   November 18, 2003

While Pesto Genovese is my favorite pesto for capelli d'angeli, my family and I love this pesto on crostini. In fact, it's become a staple in our house and a regular at mealtimes.

Sun dried tomatoes tend to have more "tang" than other tomatoes and this pesto will certainly give your crostini added spiciness. Don't get me wrong, you don't have to use this pesto on crostini alone. That's just our favorite way of using it. It would be great on pasta, too.

If you love tomatoes, especially sun dried tomatoes, I don't think you can go wrong with this pesto. I recommend it highly.

Try some of this in your sauce for lasagne. It gives it that extra umph and makes people ask what it is that made the flavor so special.
